I love it so! But sadly, it has stopped playing music in the last couple of days :(
I think it needs a tune up :)
Thank you!!

I often times will spend my nights roaming colfax in search of a working girl with as few track marks as possible... And I always enjoy taking a break from my search and admiring this very creative and playful art piece. I applaud the artist and thank them for making my nights just a little bit more enjoyable.

I walk right by that tree on my way to return video tapes and appreciate the creativity and hard work put into the piece.
We found this today, and pulled over to see. It's very cool, very secretive looking. A sound totem the tag said. Was there supposed to be music playing?

I would like to help make this an open source project that many could use to create similar installments everywhere (giving the originator full creator of course).
If you're not interested, I have a lot of ideas on how to do this without having any knowledge of how your original was implemented, however; I would really prefer to have your input.
Please let me know if you have any interest in expanding the project; otherwise I will take my own stab at it and still give you credit for the inspiration.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Did you get a permit from the city forester to attach that on a city tree??
Great installation. Have been driving by with my kids for months creating huge stories of what could be behind the door. Only can imagine what the soundscape is - but really, it's inconsequential. Thanks for the joy of wonderment and surprise.
I was just driving by and saw a door in a tree. Had to turn around and investigate. Seriously messed with my head so hard. Freaking awesome. Nice peaceful music. FTW GUYS.

Passed by a few times and finally decided to look inside. A little disappointed there wasn't a gnome or smurf living in there.

this made my morning! are they others around town? where do I get more information on this?
I'm six years old and saw the tree from our last spring. Today my mom stopped and let me open the door. It was so cool. Thank you for your clever art.

I've driven past this corner thousands of times and never noticed this before. Stopped by today with my daughter. What a joy! Such a great idea and so well executed! Thank you for making us smile.

Drove around the block 4 times trying to figure out what was inside before we decided to finally get out of the car. Totally worth it! So creative and an awesome treasure! Just wish the music would have played :(
